Delta Air Lines A330neo Rome-Atlanta Declares Emergency

A Delta Air Lines flight from Rome to Atlanta has declared an emergency whilst in transit over France.

Having declared the emergency with transponder code 7700 in French airspace, flight DL67 is initiating a diversion to Paris.

Flight crew declared the emergency from the cruise at FL360 (36,000 feet). Flight DL67 is now established on a diversion to Paris Charles De Gaulle (CDG).

The nature of the emergency prompting this afternoon’s diversion is not yet known.

Settled on the diversion track, flight DL67 is now established in the descent, passing through FL180.

Weather for the flight’s arrival at the diversion airport CDG is marginal VFR (MVFR) with visibility 10 kilometres or more. Cloudbase is overcast (OVC) at 2,300 feet, with RWY36/27 active.

Delta flight DL67 is now manoeuvring in the Paris region for RWY26/27. The aircraft is maintaining the emergency priority squawk code 7700.
