Meizu 21 Pro Promises to Outshine Xiaomi 14 Ultra and Huawei Pocket 2
Meizu Technology has officially announced that it will hold a special event on February 29th at 7:00 PM, where it may unveil the Meizu 21 Pro, which is likely to be the final mobile phone product from Meizu Technology as it discontinues its traditional “smartphone” projects.
It’s reported that the Meizu 21 Pro will feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen3 processor, a 2K screen, a large ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, support for 80W fast charging, and several advanced AI concepts, potentially surpassing the Xiaomi 14 Ultra and Huawei Pocket 2 in various aspects.
A Meizu official stated, “After reviewing the press conference, I believe the Meizu 21 Pro’s advanced AI concepts can outperform the Xiaomi 14 Ultra and Huawei Pocket 2. I’ve instructed the team to try and implement these concepts for the planned release on February 29th, providing an explanation to all Meizu enthusiasts and concluding Meizu’s smartphone era on a high note.”
Former senior vice president of Meizu Technology, Li Nan, shared photos of the actual Meizu 21 Pro on social media, revealing its intended release date of February 29th with a price tag of over 5,000 yuan. Li Nan praised the phone but also emphasized the necessity of transitioning to AI for a sustainable future.
Meizu Technology Assistant Vice President Wan Zhiqiang and Shen Ziyu, Chairman and CEO of Star Gee Meizu Group, also endorsed this news, confirming their commitment to providing an explanation to all Meizu fans and concluding the smartphone era on a positive note.
Meizu Technology previously announced the cessation of traditional “smartphone” projects, including the Meizu 21 Pro, Meizu 22, and Meizu 23, to fully focus on AI. Meizu Technology stated that AI represents the future direction of development, with a commitment to building AI models, chips, cloud services, and other products to offer users a smarter, more convenient, and more engaging experience.
